I
have two philosophies: The first is "do it once; do it right." This
is critical to capturing those rare moments that best tell a story and
seldom happen twice. My second philosophy is that each subject, each
setting, each event is unique—and each deserves personal attention.
I
have studied, and been inspired by, three world-renowned photographers:
George Hurrel, whose dramatic use of light defined the image of Hollywood's
glamorous golden age; Arnold Newman, who pioneered "environmental portraiture"
and made pop icons of his subjects; and Robert Capa, the "great theme"
photographer and a very "cool customer."
In
my own work, I strive to blend the best of these traditional styles
with state-of-the-art imaging technologies and apply my work philosophies
to create photos that not only look good, but feel good,
to you.
